Louisiana's state government employees and retirees face increased out-of-pocket costs, higher deductibles and new health service limitations as Gov. Bobby Jindal's administration reworks state insurance plans to keep the program from financial disaster.

Now Fin, you know they are "forced" to participate in these programs. Show some compassion.

I imagine LA state workers are a healthy group of people.

How many state workers post on here?
I figured it would be a ton since they have so much free time at work and all.

U need to save the state money? Cut entitlements welfare and food stamps. I hate when these assholes cut from the working people.... Even if they are state workers.

It's still a lot cheaper than the private sector.

As if.....I mean like seriously.....whoever posts on here while at work is obviously not doing their job.
Oh, mean except for the select few on td who know everything about everything and are perfect in every way. Then, they can post on here while at work and still think of themselves as a god.

I do much more actual work now that I work for the state than when I was in the private sector, but I am the exception to the rule.

I think we pay $720 (was 660 but just went up ... I was glad it wasn't more of an increase) for our family of 5 (would be the same for us and even just 1 kid). That's BCBS high ded plan. Stinks. BUT I'm grateful that we can afford it.
