I may have missed it but has the SEC office cleared him yet? what the hell is the problem?

That his name is Travonte...also probably should be on the Tiger Rant Board and not the recruiting board since he is a signed prospect.

He's on campus and is waiting for the NCAA to get back to him on some transcript issue. He should be on the team next week.

I'd think None too. But others have had clearing house issues and played later in the season like Rashard Robinson, Patrick Peterson and Terrance Tolliver. I think Loston may have played some after his clearing house issue too, or did he redshirt?
Since he's a lineman, I'd say he would be best fit by redshirting, but it's an area of need, so who knows. And we've played freshman DTs a lot in our recent history. Freak, Dorsey, Nevis, etc.

He will play this year unless he is not good enough too. Reshirting a talent like valentine is Absolutley pointless.

I feared that we had acquired another Chris Davenport when we got this kid late in the recruiting cycle. I really did. I'd love to see him redshirt and get in good physical shape rather than rushing him out here, without any time at fall camp, and try to match up with veteran SEC guards.

He out of shape and is at practice and working out. Currently weighs 390#. Needs to lose 60lbs.
