I'm trying to setup a wifi repeater at my place but I'm having a little bit of trouble. Every set of instructions I find describes how to setup the router to find a wifi signal and then rebroadcast it. Is it possible to have the modem router setup in one room, run an ethernet cable to another wireless router, and have it broadcast the same wifi without having to go through the complicated steps of flashing new firmware to a router?

You're wanting to setup your second router as a wired "access point". Some routers have ap modes that make it really simple
