He might be the last HOF RB elected for a long time the way the NFL is going with valuation of that position.

I don't think it is how the NFL treats the position as much as the best/freakish athletes don't play RB as much...if you have an Adrian Peterson, you're not going to carry 5 backs and rotate them
we just haven't seen as many special players at the position

There are QB's who threw like 15 passes a game in the HOF. It isn't out of the realm of possibilities for today's RB's to make it.

I could see Shady McCoy making it in if he stays in Chip Kelly's offense for at least 7 more years. He is only 25 or so and I can see him putting up monster stats the next 3 or 4 years until starting to slow down.
CJ2K may also make it in if he keeps his starting job in NY and plays for at least 4 more years(would put him well over 10k and probably around 80 TDs). He has had 1000 yards every year and that 2000 yard season will help.
Matt Forte also has a very outside shot. He averages 1100 yards rushing and 500 yards receiving for his career. But definitely needs to get his TDs up and play for a long time.
So that is three other running backs with at least a shot...
