Question about DE recruiting

Looking at the roster it appears clear to me that DE is an area of tremendous need for this recruiting class. Losing Rasco to graduation, and, as we expect to lose Hunter to the draft, our top returning DE for 2016 are Bower and Neal. Talented and full of potential, but young and relatively unproven. Behind them there is really nobody. The Tigers should be poised to make a championship run in 2016, and could offer immediate playing time to a DE recruit. There are still some elite uncommitted DE prospects out there, but we don't seem to be in the running for their services. Who do we have a legitimate shot at? Could Beckwith move back to DE in 2016 if needed? Thoughts?

DE recruiting has seemed to slip a bit

Kyle Phillips from tennessee is a legit option. Beckner IF he ends up visiting. Beyond that it's pretty scarce unless someone comes along later this year. La just hasn't really produced a lot of highly ranked DE's lately

Agreed. But the kid from Oklahoma is going to be a good one IMHO.

Yup. Clark will be good.
ETA: Forget which one it was but Oklahoma or OSU wanted him badly.

Clark was ranked the No. 10 strong-side defensive end out of high school and played his senior season around the 225-pound mark. He had a huge senior campaign with 18 sacks and added 1,168 yards and 20 touchdowns rushing.
He's now up to 247 lbs.

Familiarize yourself with the names Sione Teuhema and Deondre Clark.

Not worried about of DE's. Not worried about our DLINE. Yes it may seem we slipped up on a few, but the coaches have proven to be able to put together a legit contending team year in and year out. I'm not worried.

Wouldnt be a bad thing.

I definitely think we go JUCO to plug that immediate hole. Maybe find one like we did with the TE and OT getting in the class right before the summer. We will have just enough to sustain an injury, but I still think getting at least one more in this class, will suffice.

This phrase along with "taking my talents" needs to die a quick death.

We can't really discount DE recruiting since a few guys moved to LB or DT. Can't always predict how much weight a guy is going to put on or 'not gain.'
Only two of the Tigersportsdigest top 9 target DE's are committed. How do we look for them? LINK
ETA.....how solid is Isaiah Washington?
