No it hasn't. Forensic anthropology still refers to the various "races" (note the quotation marks) as Mongoloid, Caucasoid, Negroid, and Australoid. It's just a means of classification.
Otherwise, you are correct that there are studies that show there is no genetic variation between the "races". There are others that indicate there is a very small amount of genetic variation, which, as I said earlier, is probably to do with mate selection.
The former may be correct as it seems there may be more genetic variation between an Ashkenazi Jew and a German than there is between a Japanese man and a German, despite both the Ashkenazi Jew and the German being Caucasoid. But really, both findings are correct because that has to do with mate selection.

Well that's something different, then. But perhaps forensic anthropologists should clarify that their classification system is not based on genetics.
