The chief said something to the effect of: "he was shot more than twice...but not much more than twice.." It sounded like he was hiding somthing...they it turned out to be 6.

BTW: I'm not saying the only reason these idiots are rioting is because of police misinformation/shoddy PR. I'm just saying some people may have been more likely to view the evidence and circumstances in a less emotional/more rational manner if they had confidence in law enforcement.

Read this morning that a news outlet is reporting more than a dozen witnesses have independently confirmed the officer's account of the events.

Some of the main responses are basically Police are paying off witnesses, threatening them if they don't lie, etc.

Facts do not matter.

I'm sure they had the officer's gun and could have easily determined how many shots were fired. A statement saying "X amount of shots were fired, but until the autopsy is completed we can't verify how many times he was struck" would have gone a long way.
