Pen raised bird costs less than $5. Bird dogs and friends are worth a lot more. Let bird get up before shooting even if that means no shot or tough shot eventually. If more than two shooting at a flush make sure everyone is relatively spread out and in a straight line approaching the flush. May want to let two experienced shooters kick up first birds and watch before shooting.
