Apologies: Yet another Ferguson thread.

What I am going to say will be easy fodder for anyone that wants to make racist posts but I'm hoping that it doesn't happen.
I've seen nothing that suggests that what is happening in Ferguson was facilitated by a pre-existing condition that made it ripe for this type of event. I have not come across anything that would suggest Ferguson can be differentiated from any other randomly selected suburb/municipality with similar characteristics either politically, demographically or socioeconomic.
Would it be safe to assume that every similar place in the United States has plenty of folks that are easily willing to loot, burn and commit other acts of violence and destruction given a catalyst?
If yes, what would stop something like this from going nation wide?
I can assure you that if this happened in Memphis, people in around Ferguson would think it couldn't happen there. It seems that the pieces are in place for it to happen anywhere given the right circumstances.
Going forward, I think this is the big picture. I side with the people that are legally protesting as I share a lot of their concerns about the police these days. As far as the people burning and looting, it exhibits big problems among black people that do not exist in any other ethnic group in the US.

Putting Brown down was just getting a TPOS off the street, it needs to happen more and more often, will make these oxygen bandits think twice about looting and strong arm robbery.

I agree , and the solution rest within the black community. There is no white or government solution , I for one could give a rats arse what happens in the black community , all have for you is some advice.

The problem is that I think many see nothing wrong with this behavior. It's like a guy who says something that another person doesn't like. The second person becomes violent, gets arrested, and can't understand why.
"But, your honor, he said words that I didn't like. RACISM!
Black folks have been systematically vulgarized and putrified in this country, all in the name of leftist activism, voting blocs and most of all, easy consumer revenues.

Not sure if serious but every person watching this has asked themselves the same question, regardless of race, religion or political affiliation.
What the f is wrong with these people?
Apparently it is wrong everywhere.
How can thought processes be so broken amongst such a large swath of people?

It could start with not putting a microphone in front of everyone in the mob and giving them facetime on national television.
It's news, so it must be reported. So report the facts as known, and don't interview every a-hole that walks by, who doesn't have a clue as to the facts. But the news networks glorifying the actions of the mobs results in larger mobs.
Report the story and move on to the next story. There's 100 other legitimate news stories taking place every day.
The so-called reporters on the scene are as despicable as those they are reporting on. Many are in effect egging them on. The shameless and disgusting actions of Chris Hayes the other night are a perfect example, though admittedly he is not a journalist but rather an opinion-opiner.
If there were no news cameras or reporters on site, the crowds would eventually grow bored.

Many blacks raised in a black inner city community have an us vs them attitude when it comes to whites. At some point it was justified but it is a relic of times past and detrimental to society. Race pimps and some dems and repubs help continue the phenomena.

I don't agree with that. My job takes me into Sec 8 places all the time. I am a clean cut, white devil. Black people are nicer than white people. I go into places your typical white person would be afraid of and it's nothing like scared white people think.
Then I see this Ferguson stuff and it doesn't compute.

Don't know what to tell you. Lived in the deep south my whole life and blacks are perfectly nice here but there is an obvious, unseen disconnect.

And now Zach's avatar pic is gone...
I'm guessing he got warned and did not heed the admins advice.

Too bad Hunter Thompson's not around these days to educate these novices. I remember our discussion a while back.
