They don't explain very well but people in this thread or the ps4 thread can help you. It has plenty of flaws but the mechanics are great. The hype made the game seem worse.

I can see this, but I don't really get the hate for the game. I'm lvl 22 and really enjoy playing it. Might be because I didn't ever see or hear much of the hype for it.
