had a 97...the last year tyhey made the hardbody...i lifted it and ran 35's on it...loved that truck...actually soft rolled it one time in Whitesburg Ga....had to leave it out there over night laying on its side in a creek bed....got it back on all fours, checked the fluids, and cranked her right up...fixed the body damage and drove her for 3 more years before i sold it...that truck would go places no Z71 would ever think of.....they were damn fine automobiles...i got lots of pussy in that truck too...

Probably so.
New trucks are fantastic. They cost too much, but have gobs of power and despite what everybody wants to think, are generally easier to work on than old trucks.

don't know how old he is, but it might not be "politically correct" to use such words as hard body to describe a vehicle someday? and lawdy mercy, dang sure don't say a specific color!
