My 1995 Nissan Hardbody

I had a 1997 that I had bought new. Good truck.

And not a single picture was posted that day....

Don't think the new ones are like that. My brothers is a dogged out POS.

Sorry for no pics yall...I am too cheap to buy a new truck and or smart phone.

Ive owned 2 of them. one was 2wd and other was 4x4 both were killer trucks but i had to sell the 4x4 and wife broke a telephone pole in half with the other one doing 50mph

I bought this truck new in 1995 with 3 miles on it and today it has 214,000 plus miles on it and today I had to change the alternator. This is the 1st issue I have had with it. I post this because new trucks are designed to last this long without issues. I refuse to pay $40,000 for a truck and my wife does not get it and will not be seen in my Nissan.

I had a 1990 and stacked up the years and miles on it. I loved the truck. 5 speed radio and AC. High school days in the early 90s to my married life in 2000s. 7200 bucks brand new in 1990.
Sold it to some Mexicans that barley spoke English. They pulled over to the shoulder of the interstate, hopped the fence, and ran over where I had the truck for sale. Looked at it paid me cash and that was that. Probably in a lettuce patch somewhere chugging along. I miss that truck.

I glanced at the thread title and saw hardbody, so clicked on it. I thought it would be a pic of some babe holding a fish. Disappointed its about a truck.

Those hard bodies were good trucks.

You can get a solid truck for less than $30,000 these days if you are willing to forget some creature comforts.

I'm thinking about getting a regular cab, stripped down pickup next time around with the 8' bed.

If I kept a truck for 20 years, it would have well over 400,000 miles though.

I had 1987 Nissan hardbody 4x4 that I paid $4,750 used 15k miles on it in 1989. Someone put tint windows, rims, and nice tires. I put 350k on that z24 4 banger and you couldn't kill it. That was back in days you could buy the truck new under $9k.
I loved it the 5 speed tranny you could easily drain oil and rear end kicked tail and easy to drain rear end fluid.

I bought new in 1995 4x4 hardbody x cab with automatic and that transmission was a nightmare. Off the lot brand new from Leblanc Nissan the transmission was broken. I think the radiator / transmission cooler had a failure which damaged the transmission. After that I bought Ford F 150's and never looked back. I just don't think Nissans are as well made now as they were back then. I did drive a Nissan Frontier rental truck last week and I was disappointed due to they lack the quality and poor gas mileage compared to fullsize trucks.
