I honestly just think you need to get another guy in the head coaching spot with some balls and some vision.
I think Smith is the greatest coach in NFL history and I hope he stays there another 20 years.

quote:And for good reason . Their secondary is at best average. The line does not produce much of a pass rush. If they don't get some heat on Brees consistently he is going to eat them up.
75% of the posts over there are not that confident about the D in Atlanta.

Maybe, but how bout a little unbiasedness as well. Both games were close last year and our D was shittastic then as well. Who knows what'll happen but these dudes are NFL players too. I know you guys hate em but some of y'all think its gonna be a rout.

The first game last year y'all still had all of your players. Not saying the D was good, but losing Biermann and Weatherspoon(though Spoon played both games against us) definitely helped tank it.
Being that we were still trying to figure out the running game and had Brown still at LT, I'm not surprised the second game(on the road; and we played not so good on the road last year) was close given how we always play. It was also a game where we were without Evans and Greer.
And being that this game is on the road I'm not predicting a rout, but I do think we'll win by 10(given both teams health holding steady through preseason).

I'm not trying to hurt your feelings. And I don't mean to sound overconfident when I say that if your team doesn't produce a pass rush they could be in for a long afternoon. I'm basing this off of the fact that I have seen no real upgrade in the Falcon defense in the offseason and I think they are going to see an improved and upgraded Offense when we come to town. Not to mention an upgraded and more mature defense to go with it. I will grant you that the Falcons always play us tough. I just don't think you have the horses to take us. Look forward to a hard fought contest.

Soliai roughed us up last year, though I question the health of our interior OL at the time (plus I think Lelito or Goodwin will be better than DLP, who really fell off whenever Evans/Grubbs were hurting). Their rookie CBs were really impressive given their lack of experience, and they should be even better.
But yeah, in week 1, I see a game that the Falcons will be in early in the 4th, when the Saints force a turnover/punt and our offense puts the game out of reach. They don't have the line talent on either side to handle us and Gonzo is a huge loss. Plus their safeties are terrible.

I hate your team more than any other team in any other sport. I hate the city of Atlanta. It's an amazing outlet to have.
Just be a saints fan, you'll enjoy life more. Seriously. If you can renounce the falcons, you know we would support you..

I agree it will probably be competitive. They'll have the home field edge but I think we're just to strong for them.

Being that we touched on Matthews earlier I feel this is appropriate:
Reading between the lines, Watt kicked his arse but he thinks one day he may be better than average but isn't there yet.
quote:Key words highlighted.
"He's got good potential," Watt said of Matthews. "Obviously, he's a young guy. He comes from great pedigree. And I think that he's going to be a pretty good player down the line."
