running vinegar through it once a year to totally clean it out.

Somehow mine is still running without ever cleaning it. Ive heard to run vinegar through it, but when you do, how hard is it to get the vinegar smell/taste out of the machine? Do you run a few cups of water through it after?

We did it about a year ago, and I'll admit that we had to flush water through it like 20 times in order to totally get the taste/smell out. My brother did it and ended up just flushing a few K-cups through it in order to fast track the process, but it takes several runs to get it out.
