Not sure but I can tell you that their customer service is excellent. I bought the 3 cup size option one for my wife at Christmas and two weeks ago the blue under light on the large cup option went out. It still worked but just was not lit up.

I called Keurig to see if it could be fixed and they just offered to send me a brand new unit. Arrived in 4 days. Now I have one for the kitchen and our home office.

Yep, had almost the exact same experience.

Something went out on ours a few years ago (maybe the water heater - can't remember), so we called their customer service. They were terrific and very helpful, and they told us a few tricks to keep it going longer, like running vinegar through it once a year to totally clean it out. They just ended up sending us a new unit after our phone conversation.

Somehow mine is still running without ever cleaning it. Ive heard to run vinegar through it, but when you do, how hard is it to get the vinegar smell/taste out of the machine? Do you run a few cups of water through it after?
