Except your desktop system comes with windows 8.
Whereas the iMac comes with OS X & iLife.
It's a perfect set up for his elementary school aged kids.
He doesn't need a system that "blows away" something.

He either wants Windows or OS X. Sounds like he was looking at Windows All-in-Ones, likely for work integration, which may have something to do with the WebEx training he provides. If he wanted OS X, this would be a different thread.
