Yeah, that's what I thought. Didn't really know if someone like Tony would or not or if someone knew for sure.

I have been in a similar car before and I doubt he had time to think about much from when he first saw him til the moment of impact if he wasn't aware of the guy being out of his car. What he did was most likely just instinct and not done with any sort of intent.

Even the wreck where Tony got into the car during the turn wasn't negligent.

The guy looks like the frog in frogger trying to get to the 14 car. He wasn't trying to get somewhere safe.

I'm going to give both the dead guy and Glassman a Darwin for this.

You can't determine that from a split second of film. End of story.

A person died due to his actions. A competent attorney will drill him a new a-hole.

The person died to to his own actions.

If you stand on the train tracks when the train is coming it is not the conductors fault.

Smoke has insurance for this. He won't be made to pay anything. If he pays anything to the family it is by his own choosing.

Stewart will have a competent attorney, too. More than competent, I'm sure.

I'm not knighting for the guy, I'm not a racing fan at all and wouldn't know him from Adam. But after looking at the video, there's room for reasonable doubt as to what happened. IYAM.

Probably division of fault for civil court, but that's a different discussion.

Tony doesn't do a day in jail (excluding a possible arrest to satisfy the natives). He acted like a jackass (personal opinion), but had no intention to carry out what was done.

I have. When he hits the driver his front wheels are turned slightly to the right and it sounds as if he accelerates which would make the rear kick to the left.

So either TS intentionally turned his car to the right to run him over or perhaps he saw him just before contact and tried to move the rear of the car away from the driver.

He is also halfway up the track. No doubt he wanted to buzz the guy, it just got out of hand.

That was my initial thought but the more I watch the video, and with the knowledge that TS had no spotter, the more I think TS saw him too late and maneuvered to avoid him at the last second.

No one else did either, but they managed to stay lower on the track.

His entire career backs up this logic, I don't even watch NASCAR and know this.

I have no beef with Stewart, I compare him to Lewis Hamilton often and LH is the driver I follow in F1.

So did #45 want to buzz him as well?

And why can no answer why tony was mad? Only time he's ever had his incidents he was wrecked and out of race. The guy that survives a near wreck is never mad. Esp on a cool down lap he's relived if anything. Now he has a caution to catch leader.

If anything with no spotter its more likely that he was looking at actual wreck and guy came out of nowhere when 45 almost hit him.

But that doesnt satisfy everyone because its too boring. They know ts is a killer
