Not the same kind of place as you are thinking, Asian spa won't require an appointment
I once got a deep tissue massage in Vegas by this gnarly Swedish woman. She had really strong hands. I felt nauseous after and the manager said that is the toxins built up in the muscle releasing into my bloodstream. I almost barfed and I could barely walk the next day. I went swimming, stretched in the pool and felt great after.
Drink lots and lots of water before and after

She told me that on the phone. I didn't think it was that serious. I figured it was a marketing scheme. "We'll release all of your evil toxins" voodoo bullshite.
