More on that run-pass balance.

Seems like every year we made a significant run in the playoffs, the Saints had over 2000 yards rushing ('06, 09, '11).

The other years seem to average around 1500 yards or less with more disappointing playoff exits or no appearance at all.

2011 we were any variable you want to choose from being in the super bowl


However, in 09 we were any ONE variable from not even being in the super bowl

I can make a great case that we wouldn't have won the super bowl that year if not for Usama Young

This. We know Brees will be effective and efficient, but we need the running game to step up.

Also, if Cooks is as electric a playmaker as he currently seems in camp, I'll be ecstatic. Last year in particular, it seemed like the Saints had to work hard to score; I'd love a few easy TDs.
