No more K & DEF, should I replace them with another position?

So I just got it passed this year, no more DEF or Ks. That leaves us with 1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE, and FLEX (RB, WR, or TE).

My question is, should I add another flex or position(s) or stand pat at what I have?

Well that's dumb, might as well make a missed XP worth 10 points.

damn, if you just going to dump team defense, at least make it a IDP league or something.

oh... you dropped the kicker too.

nevermind.

I can understand getting rid of the K. That's the most random and useless position in FF. There is no telling how one will do, no real stats, no matchup preferences, etc.

As far as D goes, I think its a good FF roster spot. If you can find that "sleeper" D (KC in 2013, CIN 2013, SEA 2012) it can really pay dividends.

I have never done this, but I have heard of leagues that do. You can have a position called coach. That position is similar to scoring of defense, but allows points for offensive scoring, too. That would combine the defensive and kicking with offense in one position.

Could be fun.

By the way, I don't like adding another flex. I just feel like you're getting away from the concept of having a complete fantasy team and instead just aggregating individual efforts.
