The E.P.A. rule, announced by President Obama on June 2, is aimed at slashing carbon emissions from coal-fired power plants, the nation’s largest source of planet-warming pollution. Under the rule, each state would have to design and submit a plan to cut carbon pollution, which must then be approved by the E.P.A. (emphasis added)

what is the roll-on-floor propaganda?

I fail to see the propaganda.

At least if we have a rule we can have a legit complaint that Obama has "destroyed the coal industry," versus today when the reality is that cheap natural gas is destroying coal.

There is an alternative. Natural gas power plants.

The agency wants to release the final rule under the terms of the Clean Air Act, which requires the federal government to regulate all substances defined as pollutants. The E.P.A. determined in 2009 that carbon dioxide met the definition of a pollutant, a decision that has withstood numerous legal challenges.
I wish they'd regulate your breathing. As a citizen of the world and a consumer of agricultural products, you are a "polluter" according to the EPA. I for one believe that you must be stopped immmediately before you cause the sky to fall.

We should use both. Natural gas can be exported more cheaply than coal and help our balance of trade. There is no downside to using both since:
a. Global warming does not exist.
b. The US =/= the Globe
c. It would increase Business Confidence and release pent up capital for expansion and economic recovery.

actually it would be water vapor. Which would mean the largest producer of this "pollution" would be farmers, then citizens.
FAIL, fake scientist.

I'm not saying coal shouldn't be used. I was simply pointing out that coal isn't the only source for the production of electricity. Some power plants are even being converted to natural gas due to government regulations.

I've never heard that...do you have a link to anything about export costs?

And that would be a lie. They are converting due to EPA regulations. Coal is very cheap if you get the govt out of the way.

planet-warming pollution.
People who make up terms like this as if industry standard term make me more mad than people who over use (and usually incorrectly use) buzz words in order to make themselves sound smarter.
No one in any industry uses the term planet-warming pollution, this is just the Obama marketing team making coal sound scary. Side note, the Obama Marketing team are geniuses.
