Wear a long sleeve cotton shirt with a t-shirt underneath to stay cool. A nice straw hat. Solid things work better than liquid when protecting you from the sun. Drink plenty of water the day before a gallon or so. And bring a case of water for your self to drink on the trip.

Cotton shirts are antiquated. Dramamine works fine for my clients if taken like I've stated in my previous post.

Lets see, last trip I drank nothing but beer all day/night before and at least a case and a half on the boat the next 24 hours. Throw in about a half dozen waters and I was good to go. Not a chance I would sleep long and get extra hydrated before a day trip. ![](https://images.tigerdroppings.com/Images/Icons/IconLOL.gif)

Fished 3 long days for the tarpon rodeo with a long sleeve fishing shirt, a buff face mask, and two sun light sunscreen applications on my legs per day. Not a single tan line. Dip your shirt and buff in the cooler every once and a while and you're way more comfortable than any one else on the boat.
