It's an opinion column. If you don't like it, don't read it. Pretty simple really.

Exactly.

He's paid to cover LSU athletics. I don't need his dumb arse comments about the judge having purple and gold shakers.

people should never give any credence to what a journalist says about the legal system. they have no basis for their opinions, and they're generally completely ignorant of the entire process. what hill received is what anyone else would have received. the judge didn't do him a favor because he was an athlete.

Depends on the journalist. Some journalists actually go to law school before getting their first journalism job. Careful about blanket assumptions.

nola.com writers get bonuses for the number of hits their stories get. So you are just helping him out.

I dont hate LSU football and think Les took it easy on J. Hill b/c he was more talented than most players. Pretty simple observation. If you don't see that you're blinded by your desire to see LSU football win games or you're just stupid.

The only problem I have here is the insinuation that LSU fans use fricking pom-poms. I wish the AD would quit laying that shite out in the student section.

Troll away bro, troll away......

So u believe JH should have been kicked off the team due to a 30 second clip in which he knocked a guy out?

No,

but if he was say a player who was down on the depth chart as a junior/senior he would have been booted. I don't blame Les, he is just playing the game all coaches must play to win and make millions.

You don't think star players get preferential treatment?

Sometimes I think high profile athletes get unfair treatment due to their celebrity status.

Didn't say they didn't, just don't feel JH's issues were significant violations that's all

Ray Rice knocked a woman out and received no jail time. Jeremy Hill hit a guy, but caused no damage. I don't see any reason for him to serve any jail time.
