One could argue that Selig seriously devalued the World Series. Before inter-league play the All-star game was your only chance outside of the world series to see the best of the NL face the best of the AL.
After inter-league play a lot of that luster was lost.
I have hated inter-league play since it began and wish they would eliminate it. Made the All-star game and World Series much more interesting.
