Who here gets quarterly termite treatments? Is it necessary? Just got a 5 year checkup statement for $400 dollars and I really want to opt out of anymore treatments.

I know my dads house was recently reroofed and found termite damage. Quote was between $7-10k to fix all damaged wood.
So you can either pay for a semi-annual treatment and be covered when damage does happen, or fork out $7-10k when the damage happens, up to you.

I know Arrow are pieces of shite crooks.
They charge you every 6 months for what they used to charge every year. And they don't come out and treat or anything but maybe the once a year still.

In south Louisiana I would say it is necessary. Termites can do significant damage really fast. Most people don't know they have them until they begin flying out of a hole in the wall.

My Termite control company just completed my 5 year treatment also. They will allow you to just pay your 6 mo. fee ($94) for your semi-annual checkup instead of the $400 but your termite insurance will no longer be active. Past experience with another company found me having to fight them for payment for damages when they claimed ants probably caused the problem....they will always find an out to keep from paying IMO.

You should get yearly inspections and treatments every 5 years. That will cover your house.
