I never said booze was bad but MJ is, at worst, just as dangerous and detrimental as booze.

The only difference is that booze is widely available and a celebrated part of our society and pot is demonized by urban legends, stereotypes and politically motivated junk science. I just don't understand how the administration can put out these "facts" knowing full well that MJ has never been thoroughly researched here in the US.

For adults, pot is nowhere near as bad as alcohol. For kids, they are both bad, but so are alot of LEGAL things (such as energy drinks). Making the argument that pot should remain illegal because it is bad for kids is ignorant and hypocritical. (And this is from someone who does not use MJ).
