I'm getting tired of Ebola threads. If you idiots actually think this is a threat to you, then you're probably beyond educating. Call me if it become airborne and infectious during a non-symptomatic incubation period.

This particular outbreak has worried many health officials for a few reasons. Among them: the disease is killing those working to treat patients. In addition to Khan and the nurses at his center, the disease killed one of Liberia’s top doctors and infected two Americans combating the outbreak there. The outbreak has spread so rapidly that Liberia is running out of room for all of its patients. And it’s begun to spread beyond the three countries where the outbreak is concentrated, in Liberia, Sierra Leone, and Guinea. A Liberian man named Patrick Sawyer died in Nigeria after flying from Liberia. Officials are concerned that Sawyer may have passed on the disease to other passengers on the flight, which landed in the densely-populated city of Lagos. As it turns out, Sawyer was planning on taking another flight later this month, to visit his family in Minnesota:
Damn... How many scat porn actors do they have over there?!?!

Because, these are the people that are manning our ports of entry. Unless we have CDC doctors that every US entry point it is most likely going to be high school dropouts stamping passports at the airport.

Long non-contagious incubation period is a double sided sword. Sure, it's incredibly tough to spread the disease without showing symptoms. However, you could feel absolutely fine for 20 days and in that span fly to the US where you initially get your symptoms in a Piccadilly buffet and sneeze on all the jello.
I just like playing devils advocate here.

Liberia is known as the Scat Porn Kingdom. I thought everyone knew that.

Anderson Cooper said that in some of China's mass transit terminals (airports, train stations, etc.) they have machines that resemble metal detectors but actually detect core body temperature and if you're too feverish they won't let you travel.
This was for SARS, but I thought it was pretty brilliant.

Haha.. So you want a CDC doctor at every airport to stop people and do tests..

Yes, there have been people with Ebola in the US.
The good news is, once you start bleeding from your skin all you need is antibiotics.
Not happening in Africa. They always win.

See my comments about China and their body temp monitors at international transportation hubs.
ETA:
Just get those in Customs in the US and if someone is too feverish, do a quick test for Bird Flu, SARS, Ebola, or whatever they want to test for.

Y'all already complain about TSA on a regular basis. This would be worse, if you travel internationally. Imagine the hold ups etc.
At least it would provide more jobs I suppose
I didn't see the SARs comment at first. But yea that could work but I don't think the OP had that idea.

Could be she's blonde?
Could be.
But let's think about this logically. If there is a disease out there that kills anywhere from 60% to 90% of all people it infects would a country not be wise to take steps to ensure someone who is carrying that disease does not just get off a plane at one of their airports and just go gallivanting out to mingle with the general population? I mean, call me crazy but....

That can not be correct. Ebola is a virus.
