I changed mine out today. I jumped from a 4 ton to a 5 ton (13 seer), so the condensor, coil, and furnace all had to be changed. It cost me $6900. The 4 ton I was quoted would have come to $4500 (without changing the furnace). A 5 ton 16 seer would have been over $9000.

holy hell!...I had no idea they jumped up in price that much with higher seer...
