Well it sounds like you are plugged in more than I am in the coaching sense. I was looking at a business decision point of view. There is the extra hurdle of the seat licenses coming up and Blank knows he needs some excitement around the team. If things look promising this year then I think we could build off that. If it is anywhere near last year I can't see the ship staying on course.

Like I said though, you have a better knowledge of the relationship aspects so I will defer to you on that.

I mean keep in mind I am still just a 24 year old pretending he knows shite. I am a casual observer like yall and your point is totally valid. Blank needs to do what he sees best for the franchise and what will guarantee the success of the move. Personally I think jettisoning Dimitroff would be their best bet and I get annoyed at Falcon fans (and Saint fans blabbering) who think Smitty is the root of all the issues when he has been the best thing to happen to Atlanta. But also having been at the forefront of Richt-haters for a long time I understand that sometimes teams need a complete reboot.

Georgia, I'd like to think, got that through this last purge of the defensive staff and ascendance of our home grown and seasoned offensive staff. The Falcons may need it too. I think, though, that injuries and missed talent evaluations were what happened to Atlanta. Saints fans and nega-Falcons focus on last year as an indictment of the coaches' ability but IMO they got rid of some of the issues such as Pat Hill (although I like that guy). We'll see if Tice is up to fixing that jello mold of an OL he has.

I am rambling and making poor points and blame the sleep meds I just took but in the end I see nothing but similarities with Georgia and Atlanta. Two teams coming off of good years that still needed a few things to fall in place to finish the drill only to suffer devastating injuries where their past deficiencies were only magnified. A healthy team and fixing these issues on the LOS I think will get Atlanta right back to where they need to be.

But, again, my only credentials are I like watching the RZN and Falcons games once the Jags are down by 10 which may as well be 50.
