The only definitive limit on it I see is 5GB of tethering. Seems like even T-Mobile's lower tiered plans with data caps don't even charge you for overages. They just drop you to painfully slow 2G speeds after you reach the cap.

Yep. I have the unlimited and there is no throttling. Dude was lying. I do have a limit on HotSpot, but I have never gone over 3GB. And if I need to go over, you can call TMob and add more for that month and then go back to normal. They really are easy.

Mainly, how do they handle phone upgrades, and of course, what's reception like in BR?

Not sure about BR, but here in Oahu I get 25-30mbps down and about 15mbps up for data. Dropped call every once in a while when I am going through mountains or a tunnel.

As far as "upgrades" with TMob, you are buying the phone outright. Your plan is considerably cheaper than other carriers, so the 20 months at $20-$25 to buy the phone is still cheaper and then after 20 months, your plan drops by that $20-$25.

Holy shite, their Jump plan is even worse than ATT Next.

Forget those shitty gimmicks. Just buy the phone outright. If you don't have to have the LG G3 or whatever is newest, you can buy any GSM phone you want and bring it in. I get the newest so I pay $600 for a phone and still pay less than AT&T or Verizon when it's all said and done.

I have 5 people, including me, on my plan and total is about $195. The first 2 lines are $40, then it is only $10 per line for the next 3. It's only $20 per line to have actual unlimited data and calls/text plus the 3GB HotSpot at LTE speed. You can pay $30 or $40 (can't remember) and get unlimited HotSpot at LTE as well. The other lines get unlimited calls and texts and 500mb of data included.

Once last thing; I went to Europe last month and TMob was awesome. Had free unlimited data and text to the USA. Worked everywhere. Calls to/from were only $.20/min. My clients could call me and had no idea I was in Prague, Latvia or Sweden (subtle brag)
