You cant really build completely elevated expressways anymore. They fell out of favor because they supposedly destroy neighborhoods.

Anything they build will have to be at grade except for interchanges obviously.

I don't care if its a tunnel just build something. If it started around Livingston and connected back to 10 west of Port Allen it would be a huge help.

I think the best plan would be a northern loop that goes from around Denham to meet up with Airline near Plank Road. At that point, Airline is a controlled Access highway all the way until 190 crosses the Old Bridge. From then on, you just build a span to connect 190 to I-10 right past Lobdell.

On the Southern end, create the Westbank Expressway along Highway 1, then 4 lane with turn lanes Highways 30, 73, 74, and 70 through Ascension and Iberville Parishes and put a new bridge in St. Gabriel where 74 hits River Road, then add I-10 interchanges at 74 and Bluff Road.
