probably what he usually does.

start out slow.

then all of sudden, not look so bad by mid-to-late season.

I just hope that the run game kind of picks up where it left off from the playoffs.

I don't know if the line just stepped up their game in the playoffs or what... but when Ingram got rolling it was surprising.

especially against the Eagles. The Eagles knew that when he was in the game, we wanted to run and he still had a nice night. That was pretty encouraging.

It's so hard to gauge the problem when a running back isn't productive. Everyone knows that if your line isn't blocking well, it's hard to run the ball. But you always have those runners that, no matter what, come away with good games even if they're being chased around in the backfield.

Ingram just isn't that type of runner. He needs a consistent line to block and I can't think of anyone less suited for a zone blocking scheme than he is. I think the Eagles game was just vastly better because our Oline was just that much better with Armstead replacing Brown. I also think the Eagles rushing defense was statistically overrated going into that game and our guys just won the 1-on-1's rather easily. Also, how NO splits the carries is really beneficial at keeping your runners fresh going into the postseason. IMO it just has less to do with Ingram and more to do with the line and coaching decisions in this case.
