What would anyone put the odds that Wiggins becomes a top 10 player in the NBA?
It blows my mind that people don't want to trade 2 potential guys and what will be a late first round pick, for a top 8-10 player in his prime. He has already said he will sign long term. I just don't see what's so difficult to understand on this trade![](https://images.tigerdroppings.com/Images/icons/shrug.gif)

There's going to be people nervous about trading the #1 pick in a great class, you don't want to end up on one of those "worst trades" lists in 20 years.

What's difficult about the trade is the salary cap.
If they trade for love and then resign him next year they are locked in with him at 22+ kyrie at 15+ and LeBron at 21+ for the next 5 years.
This isn't to bad since kyrie and love are still young but like I said. If they do the trade they are stuck with no room for 5 years.
If they keep the young guys who are still on their rookie contracts they have more room to add better role players while also hoping they can progress into stars.
One gives you an all star big 3 and problems with getting solid role players in the future.
One gives you two all star starters and better role players and a better chance of enhancing your roster if things don't work out.
I have mixed emotions about what I think is best for the long run but for the short term obviously getting love is the best.
If they can somehow get him without giving up wiggins then they are set for sure.
Idk about how good Bennett will be but I can see Wiggins being a Paul George type of guy in a couple of years but who knows
