First Harden says:
Then Parsons responds:
Should make for a fun rivalry between these two the next few seasons...

“Dwight and I are the cornerstones of the Rockets,” Harden said. “The rest of the guys are role players or pieces that complete our team. We’ve lost some pieces and added some pieces. I think we’ll be fine next season.”
Then Parsons responds:
quote:
"That's a pretty ridiculous statement, if he meant that," said Parsons. "That's part of the reason why I wanted to go to Dallas.

It's more Harden sounding like a moron than a feud.

Houston should've never let Parsons go.
With Carlisle as coach, Parsons should develop even more.

Sounds like Harden and Dwight deserve each other.

Someone needs a slice of it.

The only reason I kinda sorta liked Houston last year was because of Chandler Parsons. Glad he's gone so I can fully root for an implosion of epic proportions within that team.

Lin asked how those comments affected him.
"It didn't affect me at all," he said. "I agree with his statements. Those two are the cornerstones. They have lost other players and they're going to get other players and they're going to be a good team. I know who James is as a person and I've spoken to him since I've been traded. He didn't mean it in any derogatory or condescending way, I don't think it's a secret that he and Dwight are the cornerstones of the Houston Rockets."

Parsons leaving just makes it that much easier to hate the Rockets

All of the Rocketards loved Parsons. Do they still?

So I guess Anthony or Bosh would've been a role player too?

After years of trying, Morey did actually trade his way into a franchise superstar — Dwight Howard — but it turns out he landed the wrong one. Dwight might be the only superstar in the league with whom other stars — LeBron and Carmelo and Bosh, at least — have no interest in playing.
Houston also stole James Harden from OKC, and it was a brilliant move at the time. Everyone around the league was cursing Morey’s evil genius. Two years later, Harden’s a first-team All-NBA guard … and he’s neck-and-neck with Dwight for least-enjoyable teammate in the NBA, and probably the biggest reason everything fell apart for the Rockets in this year’s playoffs.
It’s not just luck, even. As much as everyone can be seen as an asset on Morey’s roster, the Rockets are your most convincing proof that personalities matter in basketball. If Bosh choosing four years with Dwyane Wade over Dwight and Harden doesn’t make that obvious enough, then just look over at the bench in Houston. Morey and the Rockets have made approximately 500 tweaks to the roster over the past few years, and somehow nobody in the front office has had the strength to make the one move that would absolutely make Houston better: firing the likable Kevin McHale and hiring a coach who can actually take them to the next level.

Since we are asking dumb questions, are you implying that Parsons is on the level of Chris Bosh and Melo?
Posted on 7/24/14 at 4:06 pm to TigerBait225
Harden didn't need to establish that.
The Rockets are definitely Harden and Howard and then everyone else.
Parsons is a good player, but he's not on Harden & Howard's level. Not right now atleast.

I'm not trying to break up the Rockets bash thread, but you aren't dumb enough to believe that Bosh didn't want to go to Houston because of Dwight and Harden. Come the hell on.
