Question about the border crisis and illegal children immigrants

My first time posting here so don't tear me up.
Regarding the border crisis with illegal immigrant children, the dems say they do not want to rush the deportation because it may violate the immigrant's right to due process. My question is I thought the right to due process was only for legal citizens of the US?

According to Democrats, illegal aliens are simply "undocumented citizens". Which means the new policy is that once you cross the border, you are a citizen.

Courts (including the Supreme Court) have interpreted Section 1 of the 14th Amendment to confer due process rights to illegals. In so doing, they have ignored both the actual language of the Section, as well as the intent of the drafters of the Amendment (to confer citizenship to freed slaves and to prevent former Confederate states form interfering with their rights as US citizens [essentially, a "frick you" to Roger Taney and the Dred Scott decision).

Actually, I BELIEVE that a law was created during W's administration that said 'children without guardian' will NOT be deported without a court proceeding.

Under laws passed in 1996, and clarified in 2000 and 2008 with bipartisan support, illegal immigrant children from Central America cannot be immediately deported, they are subject to a deportation hearing.
