5 members of the 290 member Parliament are reserved for religious minorities like Christians, Zoroastrians, and Jews. The people who serve in Parliament must be approved by the Guardian Council and all legislation ends up being run through the Expediency Council. In short, the five parliamentary seats for religious minorities in Iran are window dressing.

But based on their percentage of the population, they're over-represented in the Parliament, not under-represented.

tf, anyone not willing to admit the nature of Jewish bias in Israel against non-Jews doesn't understand the situation there. Further, Palestinians certainly suffered unprovoked material losses to Zionists in the 1947-55 timeframe.

But unfair as it might be, that is water under the bridge. It just is. Palestinians have to find a way forward that involves coexistence with Israel. That is their only way out.

When the Islamic ruling authority picks who is eligible to serve in your token seat, you're not really represented at all.
