one option for someone who wants to play the highest ranked courses is to fly to eugene, oregon and drive down to bandon dunes ... length of day allows you to play 36 holes and the replay rate can be used for any course regardless of the one you first play during the morning ... fees are really high, so that may dissuade you ...
