Probably doing zero research and just waiting for one of the sides to come up with a package that fills their cousin's pockets

You would think, with Nagin having just been convicted, they would act right for a bit. But I guess things are so ingrained they just DGAF.

Pretty much this - Yellow cab is upset they have to pay to keep what they have. Uber is trying to justify their fees with the amount of coin it will take to operate in New Orleans, just in bribes and payoffs.
Quite a conundrum for everyone involved.
