So rather than berating everyone who is opposed to it, how bout you provide some examples and links where people can get more (and correct) info?

Those math examples aren't part of Common Core. They are part of a curriculum known as "Everyday Math" (aka Fuzzy Math) which is sold to local school districts as a curriculum to meet Common Core math objectives. It would be like if reaching a certain point was mandated by the state and someone bought a Yugo to do that and then suddenly the mandate is interpreted as everyone has to buy a Yugo. Does that make sense?
The horrible math problems you've seen are not a result of Common Core. That curriculum has been around for a while.
