My dad loves his HHA sight.
They have their advantages, but the one reason I WILL NOT use a one pin sight is because of unpredictability. You never know when a deer or other game animal will be standing broadside at 20 yards with you at full draw, and suddenly bound out to 40 yards and stop. What are you going to do? Let down your bow, adjust your sight, redraw, and try to shoot? Most likely your chance will be gone.
I've gone through several sights. HHA, axcel, g5 optix. The absolute best sight I've ever used, and the one I have on my bow now is the Spot Hogg 5 pin wrapped Hunter Hogg It. It's easy to tune and nigh indestructible.

I shoot a lot and practice just for that. I'm a one pin guy and shoot an hha. Usually leave at 30 yards and I can hold right on from 0 to 35. If I'm in that situation I know my set up well enough to hold over. The bigger issue to me would be getting the range right. You'd have to be good at ranging without a range finder or you're still in the same predicament with 5 pins.
