I think he's a great pick for Shazam/Captain Marvel. I think the Rock should be a bigger action star. He should be making the kinds of movies Schwarzenegger made in the 80s -- he beats up a bunch of bad guys and says some good one liners. Or can you imagine the Rock in a Beverly Hills Cop sort of thing with the humor and the action?

I'm not sure if the Rock can pull off Shazam. Can he play a grown superhero with the maturity of a 13-15 (in the new 52 comics, Billy is 15)? He seems to me to be a much better fit for Black Adam. And they'll have to change Billy Baston from a 13-15 year old white kid, to a lid with some ethnic diversity (which I'm ok with if they do it right).
the Rock just seems like a risky choice to try and pull off Shazam.
