Humidity, heat, crime, unemployment, brain drain, high taxes, bad schools, poor air, high rates of cancer/diabetes/heart disease, horrendous traffic, accident frequency, bad drivers, etc, etc.

Humidity is almost irrelevant without knowing the dew point. The humidity effect is different in Los Angeles where it may have high humidity but a low dew point, in comparison to the South where the dew point will be higher.
I assure you that Los Angeles is not humid feeling like it is in the South.
