Well I can say I don't "fear the fish."

I have bought 17 vehicles in Texas in the last decade. The sale price is always at least 10% cheaper which makes it worthwhile. I have bought all from dealers and all have been new. I pay them the tax, title and license and they pay the tax, register the vehicle in Louisiana only and 30 days later I receive a plate.

It really is that easy. If buying from an individual do like above as far as notarizing and getting a bill of sale then register in LA and pay the sales tax here yourself.

In no way, shape or form are you double taxed or do you register in both states.

The fish is a moron.
