Need to watch platoon again. It's been a while. The Dafoe-Berenger dynamic was great. One of the few Stone flicks that doesn't blow

Does anyone remember a short series on HBO called Vietnam War Story? I remember digging that.
Apocalypse Now...never liked it as a movie, but it's got a few really cool scenes in it. I appreciate more how it adapted the book, Heart of Darkness, than I enjoyed the movie.
FMJ is probably my most liked Vietnam movie, but I don't think I've loved any of them. I take that back...Rambo: First Blood Part II is a classic.

they're all good ... can't really differentiate since the great ones cover different periods ... have to say the vietnam war is one topic where the movies, generally, are not weak ... "hamburger hill" is one that doesn't get mentioned very often with the big 4, though it should ...
