I had a similar situation with Firestone. Got an email about a sale on tires that was a very good price and it began the next day. I needed new tires so I bring it by that morning and ask for the special I have printed out.
Their response was "oh we can't honor that as we don't have that tire in stock and we can't pull it from another store...but we can put on these tires for $65 more a tire."
After a call to their regional manager, I had the tires put on 2 days later at the sale price.
