I don't get why people freak out over stuff like this or why feminists get all excited.
Pretty much every comic book character has a female version that has been tried. Many don't last because they aren't popular.
Hulk - She-hulk
Batman - Batwoman
Superman - Supergirl
Spider-Man - Spiderwoman
Tony Stark - Natasha Stark (Iron Woman)
Wolverine - X-23
Capt. America - American Dream
Doctor Strange - Clea
I could keep going.
