Lol, LSU and bama are in the exact same situation.

I hate to say it but purely objectively auburn looks to be in the best shape. The Gus Bus is real.

But the decline is not.

Auburn pulled 4 games out of their arse last year, and their defense was horrible all season.

9-3 for Auburn in 2014.

MSU isn't in a bad situation either - they return 8 starters on both sides.

Why are there discrepancies in the expectations for LSU and Alabama this year? Why, if we're in the exact same situation as they are, are most LSU fans expecting 2-3 losses while most Alabama fans expect an appearance in the national title?

Yes on paper LSU and Bama losses are the same. However they have out recruited us and everyone else over the last 5 years. They have deeper talent.
