Sadly, the one image that will run through my head most from the cup was Ronaldo's cross. Uuugh. But other than that I'll remember the look on Brooks' face, the 3rd and 4th German goals and the looks on the fans faces, and James' goal. So basically the same things as everyone else.
But I think the moment that may be the most significant historically and the real defining moment was Messi's miss at the start of the 2nd half in the final. Does he ever miss chances like that? If he finishes and Argentina hangs on to win from there (definitely far from guaranteed) then he's cemented himself at least in the discussion of GOAT. If he never wins a World Cup, he'll always have that knock on his resume that other legends don't. His legacy and the chance for Argentina to win the Cup in Brazil hinged on that moment.

Good point. That miss will haunt him. I was somewhat surprised he didn't try to chip the keeper , but then again it was that freak Neuer.
