Trading in my F150, need help.

Mrs. ICS and myself are looking to get a 5th wheel camper. I have always been a proponent of the "If it will pull it, its good to go" motto. However, we are talking about taking trips to Colorado and South Florida, and want the right tool for the job.
I found a 2010 F250 6.4 in Dallas that I want. However, their trade in market is completely different from the trade in market in Baton Rouge. They are offering close to 4-5K less than any dealer in BR has offered me (several quotes from several dealers). Also, their truck is comparably priced to the F250s here but the one I want has under 30k miles and is a KR (hopefully the abbreviation wont be a bat signal for him).
Long story short, here's my question. I know dealers trade new vehicles all the time. Will Robinson Brothers get that F250 for me and let me do my trade down here?
This allows me to get the truck I want, get the trade value that I want, and not have to drive to Dallas.

Is the one in Dallas at a ford dealer?
Eta: I bought my last truck in Dallas, flew there and drove back all in the same day. Then instead of trading in I sold it outright

They had a 2010 Lariat on the lot but wanted the same price as the KR in Dallas. I assume that I just need to talk to the Used car manager?

100k miles ain't saving me. These 6.4s have under 35k miles for the same price.
My bil owns a speed shop and still has a few Spartan tuners left. Spartan tune, Sinister egr delete, turbo back exhaust, and cold air makes that 6.4 more reliable than the 6.7 and has more power. The 6.7 can keep its Def fluid.
Now, do the same to a 6.7 and it's apples to apples. However, good luck trying to find a H&S tuner. If you do, it'll be well over 2k for the tuner alone.

I wanted to add, thanks for looking. My previous post may have come off harsh.
I'm still young and want one last true diesel before the epa destroys them. I will keep this truck till the first signs of problems then trade up to whatever the new diesel is at that point.

I've owned both and stock the 6.7 has way more power. I didn't have any modifications to either so I have no idea on that.
I also got rid of the 6.4 when the oil cooler went out and they wanted 4k to fix it

The 6.4 will never be as reliable as the 6.7 no matter what you do to it. IMO it's the worst Diesel engine ever put in a truck. I would buy 3 6.0s before I bought a 6.4

Stock for stock, yes. The 6.7 has more power than the 6.4. Whichever I get will not stay stock for long though. It is easier and cheaper to do deletes on the 6.4 than 6.7.
Downshift, everything I've heard says that the 6.4 is fine once all the deletes are done. Stock, you will be buying a new motor at 100k.
I did find a 2011 6.7 with 50k for $44,000. It's a KR like the rest. Just the dealer really pissed me off.

The rotating assembly was never designed to last.
It's a disposable motor. Ask hammer time how those deletes worked out for him.

The 6.4 was a hastily designed chunk to fill the gap between the 6.0 and 6.7 and it did a good job of it. Start falling apart when the 6.7s hit the lots and people will be looking to buy the new motor. No amount of hacking and tuning will fix a poor block design and crappy QC.
Those prices seem stupidly high for a used truck to me. Brand new ones can't be a whole lot more.

Brand new KR is going to be at least $55, if not closer to $60. 25,000 miles is next to brand new with only a few more years on her.
There weren't any trans issues with the first year of the 6 speed so nothing to really worry about.

If you are gonna spend that I'd just buy a new one, you can expect to get about 12k off msrp

I was at a GMC dealership yesterday and they all have manufacturer discounts of $6250 right now on the 2015s
ICS, if you're dead set on a 6.4, you will most definitely want the following:
Updated radiator and hoses
external oil filter
updated front cover
complete cooling system flush and red ELC(I used cummins flush stuff)
should put in new t-stats when you do that
check 4wd hubs
If you are tuning it:
Tuner(not turned all of the way up)
full exhaust
intake
new oil cooler
EGR/DPF/DOC deletes
can't stress how important studs are
That's all I can think of off of the top of my head, but for just parts, that should be on the high side of $5k. Labor on a diesel is $100/hr

I was planning on doing studs, all deletes, tuner, and coolers as necessary. I honestly didn't know that it was going to take quite that much though.
On the 6.7, what would I need? All deletes, tuner, air, and maybe studs?
I thought I would be saving money by going with the 6.4 but the 6.7 is starting to look good.
