Sergio Aguero missed three decent chances against Burnley and missed a fricking penalty against Barca. Sturridge has a been wasteful as frick since coming back from injury. RVP and Falcao can't hit the broadside of a barn for Man U. Costa and Giroud average the exact same goals per 90, Costa does it in fewer shots so technically he's a better finisher, but getting off shots is a skill.

If you want to argue he's in an unsustainable good run of form since his return then fine, but there hasn't been a better forward in the epl over the past couple of months. That's just a fact.

ETA: maybe Kane. Although then you factor in Giroud's combination play and defensive ability on set pieces, which we missed drastically when he was out.

I can appreciate all of those points. That said it would be nice if we had someone up top who was a constant threat to run at defenders. His hold up play and little flicks are phenomenal, but if he gets the ball 1v1 anywhere but at the top of the box where he can shoot, we know he's not having a go at things because of his lack of pace. Plus I wish he would be a bit stronger and not go down so easily, but I guess that's the French in him. He just seems a little soft for a guy of his size, and he doesn't get those calls in the prem and he should have figured that out by now.
